Vision Shenzhen

Vision Shenzhen brings the radiating white immaterial forms of Spriggs’ Vision artworks into the atrium of C Future City. The work extends his interest in the threshold of form and perception explored in Spriggs’ Vision installations, giving a permanent sculpture the character of an event. Visitors approach, pass beneath and rise alongside the work, seeing it from different elevations as they move through the building. The white radiating force lines suggest expansion and collapse, creating a half-spherical form. The centre can be read as a singularity, charged with the possibility of form emerging or being drawn in. Its resemblance to an eye brings this apparent event into relation with the act of seeing. Vision Shenzhen was realised in association with PO Art Consulting.
