David Spriggs
Stratachrome
Stratachrome PDF >
David Spriggs’ installation Stratachrome is an in-depth investigation of all things related to the colour green – its historical and technical significance, symbolic potential and atmospheric resonance. The result is an immersive environment where green is both colour and concept. The work’s figurative references to art history, pornography and the military offer a critical view of shifting power structures seen in a hue that mimics the “enhanced reality” of night-vision optics.
