An explosive event held at the threshold between force and stillness.
In Half Explosion, a fragmented formation appears suspended in space. A sharp vertical boundary cuts through the event, setting the outward dispersal of matter against an abrupt limit. The division gives the explosion a sectional form, presenting one half while leaving the other as a void. Although vacant, this space feels charged: the expanding energy presses against its boundary without penetrating it, giving the absence a palpable presence. Viewed from the side, the visible formation dissolves into intervals between the transparent planes.
This tension between force, division and absence also connects the work to Divided Power, where separation shapes the meaning of the form.
