Data

Data does not present information as a sequence of legible marks. It gives it the appearance of a dense, unstable cloud: accumulation without clear edges and material without immediate meaning. From the front, the distributed image gathers into a luminous mass. From an oblique position, it thins and separates across the transparent planes, revealing that its coherence depends upon alignment. The work holds abundance and intelligibility in tension.

More information does not necessarily produce greater understanding; accumulated fragments may generate blur, uncertainty, and opacity. Data therefore resists the common equation of information with clarity or objectivity. The physical structure can be seen through, yet the image it contains remains difficult to read. Information becomes bodily and spatial, but also contingent upon viewpoint, framing, and the system that has selected what becomes visible.

Information and uncertainty

The work stages a tension between knowledge and opacity. Its white image suggests illumination, evidence, and clarity, while its distributed form never yields a single definitive picture. Data asks how fragments acquire authority when assembled, and how much remains contingent on the position from which they are viewed.
